Use Case
The customer faced a challange to dramatically improve corporate operations efficiency and performance. Heads of regional branches needed to manage their territories not only as engineers, but as business people, focusing on territory’s profitability and costs control. As a part of the project we’ve empowered the top management with a consistent monthly B2B/B2C financial performance analytics to drive growth in profitability and client service. Managers were empowered with exec-level dashboards spanning revenue and expenses, EBITDA, subscriber base and SLA metrics, with capabilities to drill-down to the transaction level details. The carrier also has implemented a benchmarking methodology publishing dashboards with ratings on territories efficiency.
Tech Details
The project was implemented in less than a year. It covered 130+ branches and over a 100 analytical metrics. We’ve helped to build a Greenplum-based storage layer with business data from 15+ corporate data sources. We’ve deliveded custom visualizations according to the business needs.
Key result
Managers of regional branches has become active contributors to company’s revenue and profitability. BI platform helped to switch from periodic Excel reports to continuous tracking of business metrics with ability to drill-down to specific street address details. The solution reduced time for visual reports preparation four times, improved data quality. In addition to financial analysis, the solutiuon provided tracking of subscriber’s base key metrics and helped to reduce churn. Employees were able to quickly locate and leverage idle hardware capacity, optimise transportation and land renting costs.
